To get to know me and my art style a little bit better, these images will better explain my aesthetic better than my words ever could. My personal choices in materialistic things such as clothing and home decor do not accurately reflect the aesthetic I find most pleasing, as you will see below!

This is a gif made by an artist named Leland Foster. The Alk3r post says, “The New York-based graphic designer Leland Foster takes us in his visual universe where pictorial scenes subtly come to life. An overview of his work can be discovered under the form of GIFs in the rest of the article, between nocturnal atmospheres that could take place in a detective novel and moments of daily life, with a strong focus on lights.”
These gifs are titled Sunday Afternoon and Quarter to Midnight. They are captured moments of everyday life and were relatable to my lifestyle. The warm, almost pastel-like colors are some of my favorites to look at. Sunday Afternoon depicts my work space, my “happy place,” where I can be creative and pursue my passion. Quarter to Midnight depicts what late nights tend to look like for people like me. His other works are also visuals of intimate moments that I like to refer to as “behind the scenes” of the lives of everyone around us.

My next three images were made by international line illustrator Kathryn Rathke from Seattle, WA. She uses Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to create her fluid drawings and gifs. Her style is simple, and focuses on the outlines of objects, much like my personal art. When drawing portraits of people, she makes them as caricatures by emphasizing specific features of the portrait. What makes her work stand out is that she uses different shades of colors and techniques, like crosshatching and quick coloring, to create depth and variety to her works.
Rathke notes in her blog, “I find myself with more and more portrait commissions these days, but I also love drawing animals, flora: really just about anything with organic substance!”

Sasha Katz is a Russian digital/gif artist that I recently discovered via Instagram. She creates images and gifs that have a 90s pixelism and contemporary romance theme. Katz uses pastel colors to create a “90s vibe” in her work and also incorporates certain aspects of surrealism. Her unique combination of technology and nature is what appeals to me and my liking of her color scheme choices.

As I continue to upload artwork, you may see how and where my overall aesthetic in my art stems from. Artists like these have revolutionized the digital world and are using the digital world as a infinite medium with endless possibilities.
Ever since you were able to manipulate a crayon, we noticed your disposition for art and creativity. As you got older, we could see that you had an eye for detail, color composition and you could easily draw characters and develop stories around them. Always showing how much you loved and enjoyed drawing and creating. By the time you were in high school, (as in a blink of an eye), you were drawing free-hand complex beautiful pieces across different mediums and earning accolades and top places. Now, in college, you have a wonderful opportunity to take that talent to the next level and continue to develop, cultivate and turn that passion into a career you love. Can’t wait to witness all of this. I could not be more proud and happy for you, my talented and amazing daughter. Love you forever – Dad
